MICHELLE DELLINO

MICHELLE DELLINO

Managing Attorney

MICHELLE DELLINO is a Washington native, born and raised in Seattle. Her decision to found Dellino Law Group is grounded
in her belief that there is a solution to every problem. Michelle believes clear consistent communication
and building relationships matter. Before she began practicing law, Michelle was a retail store manager for
Starbucks Coffee Company and worked in the telecommunication industry. She studied politics and philosophy
at New York University and Seattle University and then went on to obtain her law degree from Seattle University,
Masters Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Arizona State University, and a certification in
Law & Technology from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Michelle focuses
her practice on criminal defense and complex family law. She has handled countless criminal cases, traffic
infractions, and family law matters in courts all around Washington State. Before starting Dellino Law Group
Michelle worked first for a large public defender office and later other private law firms in the greater
Seattle area where she gained extensive experience defending serious criminal charges, DUIs, traffic infractions,
and handling family law and estate planning matters. Prior to private practice, Michelle had the privilege
of serving as a judicial law clerk in Washington State Superior Court for Kitsap County. As an attorney providing
support to four busy trial court judges Michelle analyzed legal motions in all areas of law, especially in
cases involving complex issues, and recommended how a judge should rule on the motion. Her work at the Court
helped her understand how judges respond to arguments made by attorneys. This experience makes her an extremely
effective advocate in the courtroom where she now spends her days fighting hard for her clients. Michelle
is active in her community volunteering with the King County Bar Association Neighborhood Legal Clinic and
American Cancer Society. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets.
She also never misses a chance to travel, get outdoors, and obsess over New York Yankee baseball.

HUGO JOHNSON

Attorney at Law

HUGO JOHNSON joined Dellino Law Group in 2013. He is a South Carolina Native and proud graduate of the Gonzaga School of
Law in Spokane, Washington. While in Spokane, Hugo started his legal career with a prestigious family law
firm. There he learned the tools necessary to zealously advocate on behalf of family law clients, all while
maintaining a sense of compassion and empathy. From Spokane, Hugo moved to Seattle and practiced in a personal
injury firm in Tacoma. The trial experience he gained there was yet another building block towards mastering
case organization and achieving a just outcome in line with client goals. Hugo decided to go back to his
roots when he joined Dellino Law Group where he now leads the firm’s family law practice and handles other
civil litigation matters. The family practice has an efficient approach that is focused on substantive client
communication. It is a truly client-centered approach that sets Dellino Law apart from the others — we show
that we care by communicating with our clients. Every case is different and requires a tailored approach.
Hugo strives to exceed expectations while setting realistic expectations for the client. Divorce and custody
issues create one of the most emotionally draining times in a person’s life. At Dellino Law Group it is our
job to relieve some of that burden so you can begin to heal and move forward. Hugo takes this to heart and
does his best to begin to help ease the burden for his clients immediately. With the advent of progressive
parenting and family laws, divorce litigation is becoming less common as alternative dispute resolution continues
to rise. It is Hugo’s goal to help clients achieve finality and a result that is just, while encouraging
efficiency in representation. We offer solutions borne of a collaborative approach and utilize dispute resolution
when possible, but do not hesitate to aggressively litigate on your behalf, depending upon your needs and
the circumstances. Hugo’s ability to effectively advocate on behalf of his clients has been driven by his
passion to give undivided attention to the client and leave no question unanswered. Hugo dedicates himself
to the local community through the opportunity to work with pro bono clients on behalf of the Housing Justice
Project of Seattle. Much of his time has been spent in the Seattle courthouse, volunteering his services
to help tenants navigate the daunting process of eviction proceedings. During his free time, he enjoys cooking,
event planning, jogging through the city, and spending time with his family.
