Senior Attorney

Brian Litzinger is a Senior Attorney at Dellino Family Law Group. He brings a broad litigation background and a practical, client-focused approach to family law matters. With experience spanning criminal prosecution, civil litigation, and domestic relations, Brian understands that family law cases often involve both significant legal complexity and deeply personal challenges. He works closely with clients to help them navigate difficult transitions with clarity, strategy, and strong advocacy tailored to their unique circumstances.

My Approach

Family law matters can affect nearly every aspect of a person’s life, including their family relationships, financial future, stability, and peace of mind. I believe clients deserve an attorney who not only advocates effectively on their behalf, but also takes the time to truly understand their goals, concerns, and priorities throughout the process.

I approach every case with preparation, responsiveness, and a commitment to helping clients feel informed and supported at every stage. Some matters can be resolved through collaboration, mediation, and practical problem-solving, while others require a more aggressive litigation strategy. I am comfortable advocating for clients in contested courtroom matters when necessary, but I also recognize the value of resolving disputes efficiently and constructively whenever possible.

My background in prosecution and civil litigation gives me a broad perspective that helps me navigate a wide range of family law cases, from high-conflict parenting disputes and complex financial matters to amicable dissolutions and negotiated settlements. No two families are alike, and I believe every client deserves an approach tailored to their individual needs and long-term goals.

Background

I began my legal career as a Deputy District Attorney, where I prosecuted domestic violence and substance-related criminal matters. That experience taught me the importance of preparation, advocacy, and remaining steady under pressure, skills that continue to shape my approach to family law today.

After leaving the District Attorney’s office, I practiced in civil litigation firms handling matters involving personal injury, criminal defense, civil litigation, and family law. Over time, I found myself increasingly drawn to family law because of the opportunity to help clients through some of the most important and challenging moments of their lives.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Sociology, with a focus on group dynamics, from the University of Colorado. I later received my Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

About Me

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son, often playing video games together or attending K-Pop concerts. I also enjoy traveling and exploring new places whenever I have the opportunity.

  • Yes. There are protection orders, anti-harassment orders, restraining orders, and no contact orders. The differences between these orders can be confusing. The getting the correct order when you need it can change everything. Coming to see us will help you understand the differences and what is best for you. If you were served with a protection order, we can help you understand what you are facing and defend you. Understanding the impact these orders can have on your life, your parenting time, workplace, and elsewhere is critical.

  • Many firms offer a consultation. Generally, a consultation will provide you with basic information about the law in a particular area and some comments on your situation. Our consultation goes beyond that basic information – this is a strategy session. We will discuss your cases, your feelings, your objectives, what may be possible or not possible, and possible strategies for your case. You will leave with a roadmap for your case should you decide to move forward. If you come ready to tell us your story and get information, we can help. Please read more about what to expect at your first meeting with us and possible issues to consider in advance here.

  • Paying for legal representation can be stressful and overwhelming in an already difficult time. You know you need help but might be scared how about how much it will cost you. We understand this and will work with you to understand what fees and costs you will have, how to plan for them, and how to help control costs in your case. Part of your initial meeting with us will include discussing finances. We want to know about you and what we can do to help. We will work with you if at all possible to make legal representation a reality for you. You can find more about our rates in advance of your consultation here.
