Today’s college students have grown up in blended families, immigrant families, and families overcoming financial difficulties. Dellino Family Law Group’s family law lawyers want to celebrate those students by offering them a chance to apply for the Overcoming Challenges Together Scholarship.

The Overcoming Challenges Together Scholarship promises $2,500 to a student who can create a moving video describing:

  • What obstacles their family endured as they were growing up
  • How their families overcame those challenges, or how those challenges impacted their lives
  • How those obstacles drove a student to change their academic or career goals

Interested students have until November 15, 2026, to complete their videos and submit their scholarship applications for Dellino Family Law Group’s consideration.

Who Is Eligible?

Dellino Family Law Group wants undergraduate and graduate students from all areas of study to apply for the Overcoming Challenges Together Scholarship.

Applicants must submit proof that they have been accepted at or enrolled in a United States college, university, or graduate school when applying for the Overcoming Challenges Together Scholarship. Likewise, students must agree to the scholarship’s terms and conditions and submit all essential documents to qualify for the scholarship.

So long as students qualify for participation, they can fill out the application form on this page and submit a URL to their scholarship video to apply for the Overcoming Challenges Together Scholarship. We encourage students to make sure they have included all their essential application materials before submitting.

Scholarship Video Topic

Every family faces challenges, but it is how we work through them that shapes who we become. The “Overcoming Challenges Together” scholarship invites students to share their family’s story of resilience.

Has your family experienced financial struggles, immigration difficulties, blended family dynamics, or legal challenges? How did these obstacles impact your life, and what lessons did you learn? Most importantly, how have these experiences motivated you to pursue your goals?

Please create a two- to three-minute video about how your family has supported one another through tough times and how these experiences have shaped your future.

How to Create Your Scholarship Video

The scholarship selection committee requests that students shoot their videos in well-lit environments and hold their recording devices as still as possible. Students can use tripods or rely on friends to ensure the best video quality possible.

We also ask that students mention their full name and the name of the Overcoming Challenges Together Scholarship within the first ten seconds of the video. Students should also specify any official sources they use to lend statistics or data to their presentation.

Students can use media editing tools to create transitions and add effects to their videos. Likewise, students can use copyright-free content to add to their scripts. However, students cannot use AI to generate an entire video, modify their voices, or create fake characters for their videos. Inappropriate AI use will result in a student’s disqualification.

How to Submit Your Video

Once you have finished making your video, save your file and upload it as an unlisted video to your YouTube account. You can then include a link to that unlisted video through the application form found on this page.

Application Deadline

Students have until November 15, 2026, to complete their scholarship applications and submit them for the scholarship selection committee’s consideration. The scholarship selection committee reserves up to three months to choose a winner from its applicant pool.

Please do not contact Dellino Family Law Group at any point after submitting your scholarship application. The firm cannot provide updates on the status of a student’s scholarship at this time.

Students should take time prior to submitting their applications to ensure they have included all of their essential materials in their application packet. The scholarship selection committee cannot consider applications submitted without all of the required materials. Likewise, the committee will not consider applications submitted after November 15, 2026.

Selection & Award Notification Process

The scholarship selection committee can take up to three months after November 15, 2026, to select its Overcoming Challenges Together Scholarship winner from its applicant pool. Age, race, religion, gender, national origin, familial status, or other protected classes will not influence the committee’s decision.

We ask that neither students nor their parents contact Dellino Family Law Group for updates on a scholarship application’s status. If you are selected as the scholarship winner, a representative will reach out to you via email to inform you that you have won. Unfortunately, we cannot provide individual notification to non-winners at this time.

Dellino Family Law Group will mail the winning student’s $2,500 award to the academic institution of that student’s choice. The firm will then share the winner’s name and achievements on its website via a blog post and press release.
