Lauren Higgins is an associate attorney focusing her practice on family law. She is committed to helping family clients with empathy, clear communication, and thoughtful advocacy. Lauren understands that family law matters are deeply personal and often arise during some of the most difficult periods in a person’s life. She strives to build trusting relationships with her clients and provide them with the support, guidance, and advocacy they need to move forward with confidence.
My Approach
I chose to pursue a career as a family law attorney because I value the personal nature of the work. Building relationships with clients and earning their trust is a priority for me. I will be an attorney who listens to my clients and advocates for them with diligence and passion.
Background
Before moving to Seattle, I lived in the suburbs of Chicago for most of my life. I attended University of Dayton, where I found a passion for advocacy and social justice work. After college, I spent a year working at a nonprofit organization as a victim advocate for survivors of sexual violence. Supporting and advocating for clients during one of the most difficult points of their lives had a lasting impact on me and inspired my decision to go to law school. That experience also shaped my desire to practice family law. I was drawn to family law as my practice area because I could build meaningful relationships with clients, advocate for their interests, and help them navigate challenging and deeply personal circumstances.
In 2023, I moved to Seattle to attend Seattle University School of Law. While in law school, I had the opportunity to intern with Dellino Family Law Group, gaining valuable experience in family law and learning from the attorneys and staff at the firm. I am excited and grateful to continue working with Dellino Family Law Group as an attorney.
About Me
Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors, whether that means paddle boarding, traveling, or adventuring with my one-year-old pit-bull mix, Mia. Although I have lived in Seattle for over three years, much of that time was spent studying, so I am looking forward to continuing to explore Seattle. I love trying new restaurants and I hope to learn to play pickle ball in my free time!
During gloomy Seattle winters, you can usually find me watching reality TV or doing a puzzle. I am attempting to become a skier, but that is still a work in progress!
