As a paralegal at Dellino Family Law Group, you will be responsible for client communications, scheduling, and case management; producing, organizing, and maintaining litigation documents; preparation of and answering discovery; drafting of simple motions in consultation with attorneys; conducting research, and assisting in drafting documents and binders and preparing for mediation and trials.
The skills you bring:
- At least three years experience and knowledge of Washington State court rules and procedures related to motion practice in King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties. Other counties a bonus, but not required.
- Experience with ShareFile/Adobe/MS Office 365/Slack/Apple/Clio or ability to learn quickly
- Proficiency with e-filing
- Quality communication and writing skills
- Interpersonal skills and desire to help clients
- Litigation experience
- Desire to be part of a team and part of our community
- Sense of humor
- Ability to meet billable hour requirements
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Provide needed support to assigned attorneys
- Manage cases with attorney and act as a liaison with clients
- Manage calendars: including scheduling and tracking client appointments, discovery, court dates, etc.
- Check court hearing calendar to ensure all hearings are properly noted
- Complete standardized dissolution and other court forms
- Draft pleadings
- Draft client correspondence
- Attend client meetings with attorneys
- Meetings with clients and other client interactions
- Maintain organized electronic files, including opening, indexing, scanning, concurrent and accurate filing, and appropriately closing
