My Approach
As a dedicated family law attorney, I am passionate about guiding clients through some of life’s most challenging transitions. My practice is deeply informed by my personal experiences and cultural background, which allows me to provide compassionate, culturally competent representation tailored to each individual’s unique circumstances.
My Background
Having called Washington home for nearly 28 years, I have deep roots in the community and a strong appreciation for the cultural diversity, vibrant local culture, and strong sense of community. This has not only shaped my personal identity but also informed my professional values—rooted in empathy, inclusivity, and a commitment to service.
I earned my Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law, after completing a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from the same institution. My interest in family law emerged early in law school, driven by my interest in addressing the cultural taboos surrounding divorce within South Asian communities. This curiosity quickly evolved into a focused commitment, leading me to explore the field extensively and build a career focused on supporting families through challenging times.
Before entering the legal profession, I worked in education within the Kent School District, where I was once a student. I also spent time teaching English online as a Second Language to students in China. My background in education and working with diverse groups of people enriches my ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients, particularly those navigating complex family dynamics. I stand firm in the belief that each family is unique, and that a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach has no place in effective family law advocacy.
About Me
Outside of the office, I enjoy exploring diverse cuisines, experiencing the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, and creating lasting memories with friends and family. At home, I love cozying up with my mini Aussie, Aero, and a good book, or catching up on the latest true crime documentary.
